The Central Hockey League announced today that the recipient for the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending February 7, 2010 is Scott Campbell of the Wichita Thunder.
Campbell helped spark the longest win streak of the season for the Wichita Thunder winning each of his three starts this week. The rookie managed to stop 108 of 116 shots that he faced for a .931 save percentage, notching road wins against Mississippi, Bossier-Shreveport and Tulsa. The Bloomfield, Ontario native closed the door in overtime against the RiverKings where he saw the most action, stopping 39 of 43 shots. Campbell has won four straight road decisions allowing just nine goals during his win streak.
In recognition of his achievement Campbell will receive a special gift from Oakley.
