This is just a little primer on how to quote text in your post.

Basically, there are two ways to quote. You can quote an entire post simply by clicking the QUOTE button to the bottom right of the post you wish to quote. Then when you go to reply, that quote will be in your post automatically. You can actually click as many quote buttons in as many posts as you desire.

But other times you may wish to create your own quote. Perhaps you just want to address a single point from someone else's post.
The easiest way is to copy and paste the portion of text you wish to quote, hilite that block of text, and hit the QUOTE button in your post composition box.
This will cause the selected text to be enclosed with the Quote tags.

Here's an example:
CODE
[QUOTE] Thunder board rocks! [/QUOTE]

Which will look like this:
QUOTE
Thunder board rocks!

You'll notice that there is a starting and ending Quote tag that enclose the text, with an obvious difference between them.

There must be an equal balance of quote tags. You can't have 3 starting tags and two ending tags. That will make none of them work and end up showing the word [QUOTE or something similar, instead. You can click the edit button on your post and repair the imbalance.
