Sometimes you will notice that your post doesn't correctly show the text formatting choices you've applied to your post.
Usually that is because the text you've applied the formatting to is missing the closing BBcode tag.

As a result, you end up seeing BBcodes in your actual post.
One of the best ways to avoid this is to select or hilite the text you want to apply the formatting to, and then click the proper button or choose your selection from the dropdown list.
This will ensure the proper closing tag is applied instantly.
There is also a "Close all tags" link to the right of the color dropdown list, just in case you forgot to enclose some tags.

It is advised that you take advantage of the Preview button to see what your intended post actually looks like before you submit it.

Admins and Moderators will attempt to correct such errors in posts when they can.

As you can see, it has a starting tag and an ending tag that enables the bbcode to properly apply the formatting.

BBcode is simply a way to apply special HTML formatting or effects without having to know HTML.
