Is it me or is the board running very slow at times? Sometimes it will take a min or 2 just to load.
Then at times it works just fine. I don't have any other problems with other websites.

I think they updated the server on the 26 or so and somewhere I read that they are having hardware issues don't know if that's what's causing it. I figure if they knew they would already have a thread on it.

I was gone to see my dad today so I don't know what was going on. They did upgrade some hardware, and it seems to have had problems since then. I need this kind of feedback, so let me know tomorrow if you still have performance issues

Well friend, he's happy, but he's not doing good. He beat the lung cancer, came back from death and a coma with pneumonia, but now is informed he has liver cancer with just a few weeks to live. He wasn't a drinker either. I was just going over some old family pics I've digitized. My dad was a big strong man who they called Big Mac before the burger stole his fame. So to see a thin wisp of a man today is quite disheartening.
I thank you kindly for asking.

Guardian, I'll be keeping you and your dad in my prayers!
I know we had are problems last week, (I think we have them settled now), but I still think you're a great guy! After losing my mom years ago to liver problems, I know what others are going through in times like this, and I don't think even my worse enemies deserve to go through it!!
I hope things improve for your dad, and as I said I will keep him in my prayers!!

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.
Board performance is dependent on several factors. Sometimes it's an issue with your ISP or it may be that the node you are on is overloaded. Sometimes it is a server configuration, a switching issue or some yahoo sucking up the bandwidth.
Another common problem is that each of you take several server hops to get to this site. Any one of those servers can also have an issue, and not everyone is taking the same path. Feedback is important because it helps narrow down what could be the cause. My interest lies in a cause that is not temporary. Fluctuations are expected and will come and go, but some problems I can do something about. When I know several people are having the same degradation, then I can contact the IT team and let them know, which helps them narrow it down as well. Otherwise they will always reply back they don't see a problem, and it becomes a wasted adventure.
If there is a performance issue at consistent times of the day, then usually it is either a local overload on your end or one or more clients on my server are consuming resources. I can do something about clients abusing the bandwidth, so it is important I have that feedback, and I sure do appreciate it.
