We've upgraded the chat for away games. You'll have sounds, avatars, more smilies, and many new features.

This chat REQUIRES REGISTRATION. You'll need to use a VALID EMAIL, as registration will send you a validation email.

Click that link to begin registration.

PLEASE EVERYONE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE REGISTRATION STEPS AS YOU PROCEED.
You can't access chat without registering. Chat is monitored by an admin during away games and other scheduled events.

How to turn off chat room sounds

Uncheck ROOM AUDIO from the Options menu.
(All other sounds will work normally, so you can still listen to the broadcast.)

A new page has been created to help you discover your java version and to upgrade if necessary.
ThunderChat works best with java version 1.4 or higher.
A link has also been added below the chat window for anyone who needs to access the link while chatting.

its too bad that you have made joining chat nearly impossible for someone that is computer challenged...why so many different names and passwords?.....somehow last year after many tries, I accidently got into the chat room during a game...of course this procedure has eluded my memory since that golden moment...if I am lucky enuf to find a kid in the "hood" here to help me out I may try to "break in" to Thunder Chat.......iI guess I will give up for tonight as 2 periods have passed now.

What's your user name in Thunder Chat?

For the record, our chat is a purchased service so it actually resides on a unique server. I strive to make everything as push button easy as possible, but chat is useless if it doesn't provide functionality and security. Chat is a major target of script kiddies and the two email transactions required by our chat helps ensure you can chat without intruders. To me that is more important than any hassle in obtaining a password.

I installed and tested all the chat scripts myself before deciding the one we have was the best for us. I am always wide open for helping anyone with a problem. Just PM me and I'll get to you as soon as possible. As stated before, register and test your account before a game so you won't run into last minute issues.
